Directions for use of Cutimed Sorbact absorbent dressings 7x9 cm: Cutimed Sorbact is an advanced wound dressing that fights infections in a safe and efficient way. It binds and inactivates germs purely physically through hydrophobic interactions without using chemical substances. Cutimed Sorbact reduces the number of germs in the wound and thus promotes the natural wound healing process. The wound dressing offers several advantages, such as the absence of resistance formation, no healing delay due to killed bacteria and endotoxins, no cytotoxic side effects and no known allergy risks. Cutimed Sorbact is suitable for various types of wounds, including chronic wounds, post-operative wounds, traumatic wounds and wounds following excision of fistulas and abscesses. It can also be used to treat fungal skin infections. The duration of application depends on the indication and should be a maximum of three days. The wound dressing consists of acetate or cotton fabric fibres with a coating of dialkyl carbamoyl chloride. Cutimed Sorbact is latex-free.
