Information for use with the article Ardeytropin Tablets physiological sleep aid: Ardeytropin tablets contain the active ingredient tryptophan and are used to promote sleepiness and relieve difficulties in falling asleep. Tryptophan is a natural, essential amino acid that is converted to serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is thought to counteract a serotonin deficiency and its possible effects. Caution is advised when using Ardeytropin Tablets if you have certain medical conditions or are taking other medicines. Please refer to the package leaflet for exact dosage and instructions for use. Ardeytropin Tablets may cause side effects such as headache, dizziness, drowsiness, increased sensitivity to light and low blood pressure. Note that these are common side effects. During pregnancy and breast-feeding, the use of Ardeytropin Tablets should be avoided unless ordered by a doctor. Take care to keep the medicine out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging.
