Directions for use of the article Rökan plus 80 mg Rökan plus 80 mg Film-coated tablet contains dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves and is used for the symptomatic treatment of mental performance deficits caused by changes in the brain (dementia). The main complaints are memory disorders, poor concentration, dejection, dizziness, ringing in the ears and headaches. It can also be taken to prolong the pain-free walking distance in case of circulatory disorders in the limbs, dizziness and support for ringing in the ears. Rökan plus 80 mg should be taken by adults aged 18 and over. The usual dose is 1 film-coated tablet 2-3 times a day. It should be taken with sufficient liquid, preferably a glass of water. The duration of treatment is at least 8 weeks for mental performance disorders, 6 weeks for circulatory disorders and 12 weeks for ringing in the ears. Rökan plus 80 mg must not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to Ginkgo biloba or other components or during pregnancy. Particular caution is advised in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, as no adequate studies are available. A doctor should be consulted before use in people with an increased tendency to bleed or who are taking anticoagulants at the same time. People with an intolerance to certain sugars should consult their doctor before taking the product. Side effects may occur, such as bleeding in individual organs, allergic reactions, mild gastrointestinal complaints, headaches and dizziness. If side effects occur, a doctor should be informed immediately. Rökan plus 80 mg should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date.
