The Hydrocoll Thin wound dressing is sterile, individually sealed and measures 10.0 cm x 10.0 cm.It is a thin hydrocolloid dressing that has been specially developed for moist wound treatment.This dressing is characterized by a lower absorbent capacity and is preferably used in the epithelialization phase.

The dressing is absorbent and self-adhesive and has a semi-permeable, germ-proof top layer.The gel conversion of the hydrocolloid dressing components creates a moist wound environment that remains absorbent until the hydrocolloids are saturated.This promotes granulation and epithelialization without irritating the wound.The bandage is available in different designs and cuts.

Application

The Hydrocoll Thin wound dressing is suitable for moist wound treatment of clinically uninfected, weakly to moderately secreting wounds.It is used in particular for wounds with a poor healing tendency and long-term granulation build-up, such as leg ulcers or decubitus ulcers.The bandage can also be used for second degree burns.Special versions such as Hydrocoll sacral are used for pressure ulcers in the sacral area, while Hydrocoll concave is used on the heel or elbow.
