Information for use with the article Vitamin B12 Depot Inj. 1500 µg: - Important information: Vitamin B12 Depot Injectopas 1500 µg is a vitamin preparation for the treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be corrected by diet. It contains the active substance hydroxocobalamin acetate. It is important to read the package leaflet and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. - Product characteristics: Vitamin B12-Depot-Injektopas® 1500 µg is used to treat vitamin B12 deficiency, which can manifest itself in clinical pictures such as hyperchromic macrocytic megaloblastic anaemia and funicular spinal disease. The deficiency can be caused by long-term malnutrition, malabsorption in the intestine or congenital vitamin B12 transport disorders. - Administration: Vitamin B12-Depot-Injektopas® 1500 µg is usually administered intramuscularly, but can also be given slowly intravenously or subcutaneously. At the beginning of the treatment, it is administered twice a week, then once a month. The exact dosage and application should be discussed with the doctor. - Storage: The medicine should be kept out of reach of children and must not be used after the expiry date.
