Fluomizin 10 mg vaginal tablets are used to treat bacterial vaginosis. The active ingredient dequalinium chloride acts against bacteria that cause this infection. The tablets are inserted into the vagina and should be used once a day before bedtime. Treatment should be given over a period of 6 days, even if the symptoms have already subsided. Side effects may include a yeast infection of the vagina, vaginal discharge, itching and a burning sensation. The medicine must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients or if there are ulcers in the vagina or on the cervix. Pregnant women and nursing mothers should consult their doctor before use. The recommended dosage should not be exceeded.
