Vagisan ProbioFlora Lactic Acid Bacteria are hard capsules for vaginal use. They contain the bacterial strains Lactobacillus gasseri and Lactobacillus rhamnosus, which are part of a healthy vaginal flora. These lactic acid bacteria are used to normalise the disturbed vaginal flora after antibiotic treatment or in case of recurrent vaginal infections. The bacteria help to restore the natural pH value in the vagina and support the protective mechanisms against infections. The capsules are inserted into the vagina at night before going to bed. Side effects are rare and may include local skin reactions such as burning, itching and redness. Vagisan ProbioFlora Lactic Acid Bacteria can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are no age restrictions for use, but the medicine should not be used together with condoms or other local contraceptive methods.
