Directions for use of the article Magnetrans extra 243 mg Hard Capsules Magnetrans extra 243 mg hard capsules contain the active substance heavy magnesium oxide and are used in cases of proven magnesium deficiency when it is the cause of muscle activity disorders such as muscle and calf cramps. Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1 capsule daily, taken with some liquid at breakfast. The duration of use is not limited, but regular checks of serum magnesium levels should be carried out by the doctor, especially if kidney function is impaired. If you have taken a larger amount of the medicine than recommended, you should inform your doctor. If you forget to take the medicine, take the next capsule as usual without taking the forgotten capsule afterwards. Only stop taking the medicine after consulting your doctor. Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and do not use it after the stated expiry date. Do not dispose of it in the sewage or household waste, ask your pharmacist for the correct method of disposal.
