One Magnetrans® forte hard capsule contains 250 mg of heavy magnesium oxide, which corresponds to 150 mg of magnesium.In addition, the capsule contains microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin, macrogol 4000, sodium dodecyl sulfate, purified water, iron (III) hydroxide oxide x H2O (E172), iron (II,III) oxide (E172), iron (III) oxide (E172) and titanium dioxide (E171).

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to magnesium oxide or any of the other ingredients, if you have severe kidney dysfunction, if you have myasthenia gravis or if you have a breakdown of the cardiac conduction system (AV block).

Dosage

Both certain medicines and minerals can reduce the absorption of magnesium.Aminoquinolines (against malaria), quinidine and related substances (for cardiac arrhythmias), certain antibiotics and penicillamine (for rheumatism) should not be used while taking Magnetrans® capsules.

Magnetrans® forte should not be taken at the same time as iron, fluorides or tetracyclines (certain antibiotics) as they influence each other when absorbed into the body.

There should be at least 2 to 3 hours between taking these substances and the magnesium capsules.
