BETADINE BVT Vaginal gel is used to treat and prevent bacterial vaginosis. It has a short application time of 1x daily for 7 days and quickly relieves symptoms such as thin, grey discharge and unusual odour. The gel forms a clear polymer film that prevents harmful bacteria from attaching to the vaginal mucosa. As a result, it effectively fights the cause of bacterial vaginosis. The effectiveness of the gel has been confirmed in clinical studies and it can be a well-tolerated alternative to antibiotics. It is used either for treatment 1x daily for 7 days or for prevention every 2 days for 16 weeks. The product is manufactured by the manufacturer HERMES Arzneimittel GmbH.
