Echinacea-ratiopharm Liquidum is a herbal immune stimulant for the supportive treatment of frequently recurring infections in the respiratory tract. It contains purple coneflower juice as the active substance. The medicine is suitable for adolescents aged 12 years and over and adults. It should be taken according to the instructions and should not be used continuously for more than 10 days. Children under one year of age and people who are hypersensitive to the active ingredient or other ingredients of the medicine should not take it. It should also not be used in certain diseases, such as advanced systemic diseases, tuberculosis and autoimmune diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take the medicine. Possible side effects are hypersensitivity reactions, stomach and intestinal complaints and allergic reactions. The medicine contains 22% alcohol by volume and should therefore not be used by people with alcohol problems.
