KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV is a patented, self-drying silicone gel that was specifically developed for the prevention and treatment of fresh scars.It is suitable for hypertrophic scars and keloids that may arise after surgical procedures, aesthetic treatments, injuries, wounds or burns.The gel is also suitable for children from three months of age and for sensitive skin areas such as the face and eyelids.

The scar gel protects the scars from harmful UVrays and supports healing by making the scars flatter, softer and smoother.It relieves itching and reduces skin discoloration. UVrays can negatively affect the healing process and lead to hyperpigmentation or sun-related redness.Therefore, it is important to protect fresh scars from the sun. KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV with sun protection factor 30 offers this protection and prevents dark pigmentation.It is ideal for the face, neck, hands, upper body and other sun-exposed skin areas.

The ingredients of KELO-COTE® scar gel UV are:

Polysiloxane, silicon dioxide, isopropyl myristate, octinoxate 7.5%, octisalate 5.0%, octocrylene 10.0%, oxybenzone 6.0%.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Apply KELO-COTE® Scar Gel UV very thinly to the affected area of skin twice a day and allow the gel to dry.If the gel doesn't dry within 3-4 minutes, you've probably applied too much.Carefully remove the excess gel and allow the skin area to dry further.

After drying, cosmetics or sun protection can be applied to the gel film.

The recommended treatment duration is at least 2-3 months.For very large and older scars, longer use may be necessary.

KELO-COTE® Scar gels can be used alternately with KELO-COTE® spray and scar plasters.The change can, for example, take place in a day/night rhythm.However, silicone scar plasters, gels and spray should not be used at the same time (on top of each other/multi-layered).

Allow to absorb completely and avoid direct contact with textiles and hard surfaces to prevent discoloration.
