Ambroxol has a triple effect: secretolytic, mucolytic and secretomotor.These drinking tablets are used as an expectorant treatment for acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs in which thick mucus is present.They liquefy the bronchial mucus, make it easier to cough up and provide effective symptom relief.The drinking tablets can be made into a raspberry flavored solution in cold or hot water and are suitable for adults and children aged 6 and over.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

Ambroxol acis® 30 mg drinking tablets promote the production of thin bronchial mucus and liquefy tough, adherent mucus.The active ingredient activates the movement of the cilia of the respiratory ciliated epithelium, which increases the removal of bronchial mucus and makes coughing up considerably easier.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each drinking tablet contains 30 mg ambroxol hydrochloride.Other ingredients include aspartame, microcrystalline cellulose, citric acid monohydrate, lactose-1-water, crospovidone, saccharin sodium, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide and raspberry flavor.

Contraindications

The product should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride.

Dosage

Children aged 6 to 12 years usually take half a tablet 2-3 times a day.Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take one tablet 3 times a day for the first 2-3 days, then one tablet 2 times a day.If necessary, the dosage for adults can be increased to 60 mg ambroxol hydrochloride twice daily.

Intake

The drinking tablets can be taken with or without meals.They are dissolved in a glass of cold or hot water and then stirred.If prepared in cold water, the cloudy solution is drunk immediately.If dissolved in hot water, the solution must be cooled to a comfortable temperature and, if necessary, stirred again before drinking.
