Zinc beta 25 mg effervescent tablets contain the active ingredient zinc sulphate monohydrate and are used to treat clinically confirmed zinc deficiency conditions that cannot be corrected by diet. These effervescent tablets contain sodium and sorbitol. The dosage for adults is 1/2 to 1 effervescent tablet daily after a meal. The effervescent tablet should be dissolved in half a glass of water and drunk completely. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the zinc deficiency. There are no known side effects. However, nausea, vomiting and metallic taste may occur in case of overdose. In the event of an overdose, the intake should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. The effervescent tablets should be stored away from moisture and used within 12 months after opening. There are no known interactions with other medicines.
