Nicotinamide Axicur 200 mg Tablets are a vitamin preparation for the treatment of clinical nicotinamide deficiency in cases of malnutrition and increased need. Nicotinamide, also known as vitamin B3 or niacin, plays an important role in the body in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Nicotinamide deficiency can result from a long-term unbalanced diet or certain diseases such as alcoholism or liver disease. Symptoms of deficiency can include skin inflammation, fatigue, inflammation of the tongue, nerve inflammation and other complaints. Nicotinamide axicur tablets are taken according to the package leaflet. The recommended dose is 1 tablet daily for adults and children aged 4 years and over, and half a tablet for infants and young children. The tablets should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid.
