Description

Tannolact fat cream is used for various skin diseases that are associated with inflammation or itching.These include, for example, eczema or skin diseases in areas where parts of the skin rub against each other, such as in the armpits, in the genital-anal area, under the breast or on the inside of the thighs.The cream does not contain cortisone and is intended for external use.

Areas of application

The medicine is used for skin diseases that are accompanied by inflammation or itching.Examples of this are eczema (diseases of the epidermis) and skin diseases in intertriginous areas, i.e. areas in which parts of the skin rub against each other.The cream is particularly suitable for the chronic phase and for long-term therapy as well as for prophylaxis on children's skin that is prone to inflammation and sensitive.

Active ingredients and ingredients

1 Gram of Tannolact fat cream contains 4 milligrams of phenolsulfonic acid-phenol-urea-formaldehyde condensate, sodium salt, also known as synthetic tannin, as a medicinally active ingredient.Excipients include calcium dilactate-5-water, cetostearyl alcohol, Dimeticone 350, glycerol (mono/di/tri) alkanoate (C12-C18), glycerol (mono/di/tri) alkenoate (Cx-Cy), hexyl laurate, sorbitol 70, Tris[dodecylpoly(oxyethylen)-4]phosphate, purified water, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate,Propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and sorbic acid.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The preservatives it contains (methyl and propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate) can trigger allergic reactions.

Dosage and application

Always use the medicine exactly as directed.The usual dose is to apply the medicine thinly to the affected skin areas three times a day and massage in gently.When using it on the face, make sure that the cream does not get into the eyes.If the cream does get into your eyes, rinse your eyes under running water for about 10 minutes.An ophthalmologist should then be consulted.

The treatment can be carried out until the inflammatory skin symptoms have subsided.As a rule, four weeks is sufficient.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you have used more than you should, you can continue treatment at the indicated dosage.No adverse effects are to be expected in the event of a short-term overdose.Do not use a double dose if you forget the previous dose.

If you stop using it, you could jeopardize the success of the treatment.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before stopping treatment.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using it as the medicine has an eye-irritating effect.Therefore, appropriate precautionary measures should be taken.There is no experience with regard to impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There is no experience with use during pregnancy.Although it is unlikely that the medicine will pass into the bloodstream after being applied to the skin, you should only use the medicine during pregnancy if your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.

It is not known whether the active ingredient passes into breast milk.Therefore, the medicine should only be used during breastfeeding if absolutely necessary.If your doctor considers application necessary, you should not rub the breast area to avoid unwanted contact with the baby's skin or oral ingestion by the baby.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.It is only suitable for external use and must not be used on the eyes.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.

There is no experience with the tolerability of the cream in patients under 18 years of age.
