Area of application

This medicine is a laxative used for the short-term treatment of constipation.It helps promote digestion and facilitate the excretion of stool.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The preparation contains 332.33 mg of thick paraffin as an active ingredient.The excipients include Arabic gum, carmellose sodium salt, glycerol 85%, gypsophila saponin, hymetellose, saccharin sodium 2 water, tragacanth, purified water, benzoic acid, total sodium ion, pineapple flavor and other ingredients.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to thick paraffin or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also contraindicated in cases of impaired consciousness, difficulty swallowing and gastric emptying, as well as acute diseases of the upper and lower abdomen such as appendicitis, intestinal obstruction or intestinal perforation.It is not recommended for children up to the age of two.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described in the instructions for use or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.For children aged 2 to 12 years, a weight-dependent dosage of 1 to 2 ml per kg of body weight is recommended.From the age of 12, the recommended daily dose is 10 to 45 ml. The dosage should be based on the persistence of symptoms.The daily dose can be taken all at once or in divided doses.The effect occurs after about 6 to 12 hours.

The use of laxatives should not be done without medical advice and only for a short time.The duration of use should generally be limited to 7 days.Overdose may result in paraffin oozing from the anus and fecal incontinence.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take a dose.

Intake

Shake the bottle well before use.Take the medicine at least one hour before or after meals so as not to disrupt the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.

Patient information

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.Due to the risk of accidental inhalation of the active ingredient into the lungs, the medicine should not be taken immediately before bedtime.It should be taken in an upright posture.In bedridden and disabled patients with an increased risk of aspiration, the preparation should not be taken without consulting a doctor.Laxatives should only be taken for a short time if you are constipated.Children under 6 years of age should only receive the medicine if specifically instructed by their doctor.The product is not recommended for children under 2 years of age, children at risk of aspiration or disabled children.
