Instructions for use for Ringer solution DAB 7 plastic, 250 ml
Ringer's solution DAB 7 solution for infusion
Ringer's solution DAB 7 is an electrolyte solution used for fluid and electrolyte replacement. It contains 0.147 mmol sodium (Na+), 4 pmol potassium (K+), 2.25 pmol calcium (Ca++) and 0.156 mmol chloride (Cl-) per milliliter. This solution is used for hypochloremic alkalosis or chloride losses, as short-term intravascular volume replacement, for isotonic and hypotonic dehydration, and as a carrier solution for compatible electrolyte concentrates and medications.
Areas of application
Ringer's solution DAB 7 is used for fluid and electrolyte replacement in hypochloremic alkalosis or chloride losses, as short-term intravascular volume replacement, in isotonic and hypotonic dehydration and as a carrier solution for compatible electrolyte concentrates and medications.
Contraindications
An absolute contraindication is the state of overhydration (hyperhydration).Relative contraindications are increased blood potassium content (hyperkalemia), increased blood sodium content (hypernatremia), increased blood chloride content (hyperchloremia), and diseases that require restrictive sodium intake, such as heart failure, generalized edema, pulmonary edema, hypertension, eclampsia and severe renal insufficiency.Caution is advised in patients with renal insufficiency who tend to have elevated potassium levels in their blood.
Precautions
Electrolyte and fluid status checks are required. When treating hypertonic dehydration, rapid infusion should be avoided to prevent an increase in plasma osmolarity and plasma sodium concentration.Interactions with other agents are not known.
Application
The dosage depends on the need for fluids and electrolytes. The maximum infusion rate and the maximum daily dose depend on the clinical condition and the fluid and electrolyte requirements of the patient.A fluid intake of 40 ml/kg body weight per day should not be exceeded in adults. The solution is administered intravenously.
Side effects
When used as directed, no side effects are to be expected. If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
