Active ingredients and ingredients

This product contains the following active ingredients: 10 mg Chelidonium ex herba cum radice ferm (hom./anthr.) and 10 mg Citrullus colocynthis ferm 33a (hom./anthr.).In addition, Chelidonium/Colocynthis (hom./anthr.) and sucrose are included as excipients.

Areas of application

According to the anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, this product is used to harmonize the organization of sensation in the metabolic system, especially in the liver and gallbladder area.These include, for example, biliary tract dyskinesia and colic as well as abdominal cramps (abdominal spasms).

Contraindications

The product should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients.If you have a history of liver disease and/or simultaneous use of liver-damaging substances, the product should only be used after consulting your doctor.Due to the component celandine (chelidonium), the medicine should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding or in children under 2 years of age.

Precautions for use and warnings

This medicine contains sucrose.Please only take Chelidonium/Colocynthis after consulting your doctor if you know that you have an intolerance to certain sugars.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, children aged 2 to 6 years should let 5 - 7 Globuli velati dissolve under the tongue 3 to 5 times a day.Adults and children aged 6 and over should let 5 - 10 globules velati dissolve under the tongue 3 to 5 times a day.

Duration of application

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2 - 5 days, you should consult a doctor.The treatment of chronic diseases requires consultation with the doctor.If used for more than 4 weeks, liver function values (transaminases) should be checked.

Side effects

Very rarely, an increase in liver function values (transaminases) and bilirubin, including drug-related jaundice (drug-toxic hepatitis), has been observed during treatment with medicines containing celandine, which normalized or regressed after the drug was discontinued.In these cases, the medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
