Zinc Verla 10 mg Film-Coated Tablets are a mineral preparation for the treatment of zinc deficiency and in therapy with penicillamine and other complexing agents. Particular caution is advised if the preparation is taken over a longer period of time, as laboratory diagnostic monitoring of zinc and copper is then required. The medicinal product should be taken unchewed with sufficient liquid one hour before meals. The dosage is usually 1-2 tablets per day. In case of overdose, headache, metallic taste, diarrhoea and vomiting may occur. If side effects occur, the tablets should be taken with meals. The medicine is not suitable for people who are hypersensitive to zinc D-gluconate or any of the other ingredients. There are no age restrictions for use during pregnancy and lactation. Possible side effects are rare and may occur individually. The medicinal product should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date on the packaging. It contains 10 mg of zinc per film-coated tablet. The exact dosage and duration of use can be determined individually by the doctor. There are no known interactions with other medicines.
