MOVICOL Junior Chocolate - For constipation
This product is a laxative suitable for the treatment of constipation in children aged 2 to 11 years.It helps to achieve comfortable bowel movements, even if the child has been suffering from constipation for a long time.Other products are available for teenagers aged 12 and over.

Active ingredients and ingredients
Each bag of MOVICOL Junior Chocolate contains the following active ingredients: 6.563 g macrogol 3350, 0.1754 g sodium chloride, 0.0893 g sodium hydrogen carbonate and 0.0159 g potassium chloride.Additionally, it contains chocolate flavor and acesulfame potassium as a sweetener.
The chocolate flavor consists of maltodextrin (potato), Arabic gum E414, vegetable oils and fats (palm/coconut oil), propylene glycol E1520 and benzyl alcohol.
After making a solution with ¼ glass (62.5 ml) of water, for each bag you get: sodium 65 mmol/l, chloride 51 mmol/l, potassium 5.4 mmol/l and bicarbonate 17 mmol/l.

MOVICOL Junior Choco is used to treat constipation in children aged 2 to 11 years.It helps to achieve comfortable bowel movements even if the child has been suffering from constipation for a long time.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be administered if the child suffers from a narrowing or obstruction of the intestine, has a perforation in the intestine, has a severe inflammatory bowel disease such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease or toxic megacolon, or is hypersensitive to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.
If the child suffers from heart or kidney disease, an impaired gag reflex or reflux esophagitis, the doctor should be consulted before administration.
Dosage
The dosage depends on the age of the child and his response to treatment.Children aged 2 to 6 years are recommended 1 sachet per day, while children aged 7 to 11 years can receive 2 sachets per day.On the advice of the doctor, the number of bags can be increased until the child has loose stools.
When treating faecal impaction (coprostasis), it should be medically clarified that the child actually suffers from this disease.Treatment is given over a period of up to 7 days with increasing dosage from 4 sachets on the first day to 12 sachets on the last three days.
The daily dose should be taken in single doses within 12 hours.Treatment can be stopped once the medicine has taken effect.
In the case of chronic constipation, treatment should be carried out over a longer period of time, at least 6-12 months.

Intake
