Amorolfine AL 5% is an active ingredient nail varnish for the treatment of mild fungal nail infections in adults aged 18 years and over. It should only be used if only 1 or 2 nails are affected and only the upper half or the edges of the nails are affected. The active ingredient amorolfine kills a variety of fungi that can cause nail infections. Application should be once a week and should be continued until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back. The duration of treatment is usually 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails. Contact with eyes, ears and mucous membranes should be avoided during use. Slight side effects may occur, but these are rare. Before use, the package leaflet should be read and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted in case of uncertainty. The nail varnish should be protected from heat and stored upright.
