Amorolfine AL 5% is an active ingredient nail varnish for the treatment of mild fungal nail infections in adults aged 18 years and over. It should only be used if only 1 or 2 nails are affected and only the upper half or the edges of the nails are affected. Amorolfine kills various fungi that can cause nail infections. It should be applied once a week until the infection has cleared and healthy nails have grown back. The nail polish should dry for about 3 minutes and not come into contact with soap and water. Precautions should be observed during application, such as avoiding contact with eyes and ears and wearing waterproof gloves when working with chemicals. The duration of treatment is usually 6 months for fingernails and 9-12 months for toenails. Side effects are rare. There are certain contraindications and precautions that should be observed before use. The medicine should be kept away from heat and out of the reach of children.
