Original Bullrich Salt Powder is a mildly acting medicine for neutralising stomach acid. It is traditionally used for heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. The powder contains the active ingredient sodium hydrogen carbonate. It should not be taken if you are allergic to sodium hydrogen carbonate, have acid-base balance disorders, have acid burns of the stomach, are on a low-sodium diet or have excessive intake of food and carbonated drinks. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before use as the powder may be incompatible with other medications. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not take the medicine. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1 measuring spoon (1.0 g) of powder, if required, which should be taken in sips dissolved in water. In principle, the duration of use is not limited. Possible side effects are bloating, belching and the formation of kidney stones. Original Bullrich Salt Powder should be stored away from moisture and used for a maximum of 18 months after opening.
