BronchoVerde® is a herbal medicine that is used to loosen mucus in coughs with sputum.It is suitable for adults, teenagers and children aged 6 and over.The special extract V707 in BronchoVerde® helps to loosen mucus and clear the bronchi so that you can breathe more freely again.The effervescent tablets can be taken as a cold or hot drink.

Area of application

BronchoVerde® Cough Solvent 50 mg effervescent tablets are used to dissolve mucus in coughs with sputum for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

BronchoVerde® Cough Solvent 50 mg effervescent tablets contain dry extract of ivy leaves, which is used in the treatment of inflammatory, obstructive bronchial diseases due to its spasmolytic properties.

Each effervescent tablet contains 50 mg dry extract of ivy leaves (4-8:1) with ethanol 30% (m/m) as extractant.Other ingredients include saccharin sodium 2 H2O, sorbitol, simeticone, sodium cyclamate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, citric acid, sodium dihydrogen citrate, cassis flavor, maltodextrin and macrogol 6000.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can take 1 effervescent tablet once or twice a day, corresponding to 50 - 100 mg of dry extract from ivy leaves per day.Children aged 6-11 should take half an effervescent tablet twice a day, which corresponds to 50 mg of dry ivy leaf extract per day.

Intake

The effervescent tablet is dissolved in a glass of water (hot or cold) before taking.The solution should only be drunk once the effervescent tablet has completely dissolved.For children aged 6-11, the amount of liquid should be chosen so that it can be drunk in a short time.The minimum volume of water to dissolve half an effervescent tablet is 50 ml.

Patient information

If symptoms persist for a long time or if shortness of breath, fever or purulent or bloody sputum occur, a doctor should be consulted immediately.Caution is also advised in patients with inflammation of the gastric mucosa or stomach ulcers.It is not intended for use in children under 6 years of age.Other dosage strengths are available for children 2 to 5 years old.Ivy preparations should generally not be used in children under 2 years of age due to the possible worsening of bronchial diseases.

Pregnancy

The use of this preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended as there are no sufficient studies.

BronchoVerde® cough solver 50 mg effervescent tablets contain sodium compounds and sorbitol.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
