Calcilac effervescent tablets are used to compensate for calcium and vitamin D3 deficiencies and to support the treatment of osteoporosis. They contain calcium carbonate and colecalciferol as active ingredients. The recommended dose for adults and elderly people is one effervescent tablet per day. The effervescent tablet should be dissolved in a glass of water and drunk completely. The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and is determined by the doctor. Possible side effects may include increased calcium concentration in the blood, constipation, flatulence, nausea, skin rashes and itching.
