Directions for use of Ciclocutane 80 mg/g nail varnish Ciclocutan 80 mg/g is a nail varnish containing active ingredients which is used for the treatment of fungal nail infections. The active ingredient ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and is effective against the most important pathogens of fungal nail infections. It is applied to the nails. In the first months, the nail polish is applied every two days, later the application can be reduced to weekly. Before each application, destroyed nail tissue should be removed and the nail surface cleaned. The nail polish is applied evenly with a reusable spatula. After application, the vial should be tightly closed to prevent drying out. The entire layer of polish is removed once a week and the chipped areas are coated again with the nail polish. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the infestation and should not exceed 6 months. It is important not to discontinue the application prematurely, as this can lead to a worsening of the disease. The nail varnish should be stored at room temperature and the medicine should not be used after the expiry date. Ciclocutane 80 mg/g is not recommended for children under 6 years of age, pregnant women and nursing mothers. Skin irritation may occur during application.
