Summary: Ciclocutane 80 mg/g is an active ingredient nail varnish designed to treat fungal nail infections. The active ingredient ciclopirox penetrates the nail plate and fights the pathogens that cause fungal nail infections. The nail polish should be applied according to the instructions, starting with a thin layer every other day and later at least once a week. Before each application, destroyed nail tissue should be removed and the nail surface cleaned with the enclosed alcohol swabs. The nail polish is applied evenly with a reusable spatula and the vial is tightly closed after use to prevent the solution from drying out. The entire lacquer layer should be removed once a week with alcohol swabs. The duration of treatment should not exceed 6 months. The application may be contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients or during pregnancy and lactation. Possible side effects are skin irritation. The nail varnish should be protected from heat and stored at room temperature after opening/preparation. Source: Package insert
