Dosage

Type and duration of application

Mode of action

Macrogol TAD contains macrogol 3350 and electrolytes as active ingredients.Due to the high water-binding capacity of Macrogol 3350, comparable to a liquid sponge, a lot of liquid can be transported into the intestines without being absorbed by the body.This softens solid stool and increases stool volume.This leads to the triggering of natural intestinal movement and ultimately stool excretion.Macrogol 3350 is also excreted.The addition of electrolytes creates a drinking solution that compensates for a possible loss of the body's own electrolytes or water or avoids fluid stress on the body.

Special Notes

There is no sufficient experience with the use of macrogol TAD in children.Therefore, use in children under 12 years is not recommended.
