Aspecton cough syrup is used for colds of the respiratory tract, acute and chronic bronchitis and for coughs with viscous mucus.The herbal medicine helps to relieve the symptoms and make expectoration easier.

Mode of action

Aspecton cough syrup is one of the herbal medicines and is effective against the symptoms of colds in the respiratory tract, acute and chronic bronchitis and coughs with viscous mucus.The main active ingredient is thyme herb thick extract, which is made from the dried leaves of thyme.Thyme herb thick extract makes it easier to cough up viscous mucus, has a relaxing effect on the bronchi and promotes the expectoration of mucus.Thyme also has a bactericidal effect, which helps fight colds in the respiratory tract.Cramping and dry coughs as well as hoarseness, which are often associated with colds, can be alleviated by using Aspecton cough syrup.Due to the herbal extractants, cloudiness and/or a slight sediment may occasionally occur, but this does not affect the effectiveness of the cough syrup.

100 ml Aspecton cough syrup contains thick extract of thyme herb (1.7-2.5:1) in an amount of 6.69 g.Ammonia solution 10% (m/m), glycerol 85% (m/m), ethanol 90% (v/v) and water in a ratio of 1:20:70:109 are used as extractants.Other ingredients include glycerol, glycerol 85%, propylene glycol, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, purified water and bitter fennel oil.

Contraindications

Aspecton cough syrup should not be used if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is known.This applies in particular to thyme or other lamiaceae (lamiaceae), birch, mugwort, celery or any of the other ingredients of the product.The product must also not be taken if you have a rare, inherited fructose intolerance.Due to insufficient research, Aspecton cough syrup should not be used in children under 1 year of age.Its use is also not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there are no sufficient studies available.

Dosage

Aspecton cough syrup should be taken exactly as directed to avoid overdosing or underdosing.Adults and children aged 12 and over take 10 ml 3 to 4 times daily.Children aged 11 to 12 years take 5 ml 3 times a day, children aged 5 to 10 years take 2.5 ml 3 to 4 times a day and children aged 1 to 4 years take 2.5 ml twice a day. A measuring cup is included in the cough syrup for exact dosage.Aspecton cough syrup is a brown liquid that can be taken with a glass of water.It can be taken with or without meals.If a dose is forgotten, the next dose should be taken as usual without taking the missed dose.

Aspecton cough syrup is used orally.It is recommended to take the medicine with sufficient fluid, preferably water.It can be taken with or without meals.

If symptoms last longer than a week or if shortness of breath, fever and purulent or bloody sputum appear, a doctor should be consulted.There are no special requirements regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy
