Aspecton Cough Syrup is a herbal medicinal product used to improve the symptoms of colds of the respiratory tract with viscous mucus and acute bronchitis. The main active ingredient of the cough syrup is thyme herb thick extract, which is obtained from the dried leaves of thyme. Thyme has a decongestant effect on the bronchial tubes, promotes the expectoration of mucus and has a bactericidal effect. Aspecton Cough Syrup makes it easier to cough up colds, relieves cramp and irritable coughs and hoarseness. The recommended dosage for adults and children aged 12 and over is 10 ml 3-4 times a day. The duration of use should not exceed 7 days. Aspecton Cough Syrup does not contain alcohol and is therefore also suitable for patients who need to avoid alcohol. Side effects may include gastrointestinal complaints, attacks of breathlessness and hypersensitivity reactions of the skin such as hives. The cough syrup should not be used in case of intolerance to certain ingredients or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Storage should be at room temperature and the cough syrup has a shelf life of 6 months after opening. Before use, the package leaflet should be read or a doctor or pharmacist consulted.
