Aspecton cough syrup is a herbal medicine made from the herb of true thyme (Thymus vulgaris).The ingredients in thyme help to loosen mucus in the respiratory tract and have an antispasmodic effect.This product is used for acute bronchitis with viscous mucus and for colds of the respiratory tract.Aspecton cough syrup does not contain alcohol (ethanol).

Area of application

Aspecton cough syrup helps with colds of the respiratory tract, acute and chronic bronchitis as well as coughs with viscous mucus.The ingredients in thyme make it easier to cough up mucus, have a relaxing effect on the bronchi and promote sputum production.Thyme also has a bactericidal effect, which helps fight colds in the respiratory tract.Cramping and dry coughs as well as hoarseness, which are often associated with colds, are alleviated by its use.

Active ingredients and ingredients

100 ml Aspecton cough syrup contains thick extract of thyme herb (1.7-2.5:1) in an amount of 6.69 g.Ammonia solution 10% (m/m), glycerol 85% (m/m), ethanol 90% (v/v) and water in the ratio (1:20:70:109) are used as extractants.Other ingredients include glycerol, glycerol 85%, propylene glycol, sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing), macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate, purified water and bitter fennel oil.

Contraindications

Aspecton cough syrup should not be used if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is known.This applies in particular to thyme or other lamiaceae (lamiaceae), birch, mugwort, celery or any of the other ingredients of the product.The product must also not be taken if you have a rare, inherited fructose intolerance.Due to insufficient research, Aspecton cough syrup should not be used in children under 1 year of age or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage

Aspecton cough syrup should be taken exactly as directed to avoid overdosing or underdosing.Adults and children aged 12 and over take 10 ml 3 - 4 times daily.Children aged 11 - 12 years take 5 ml 3 times a day, children aged 5 - 10 years take 2.5 ml 3 - 4 times a day and children aged 1 - 4 years take 2.5 ml twice a day. The cough syrup has a measuring cup for precise dosage.The brown liquid can be taken with a glass of water, with or without meals.If a dose is forgotten, the next dose should be taken as usual without taking the missed dose.

Aspecton cough syrup is intended to be taken orally.It is recommended to take the medicine with sufficient fluid, preferably water.It can be taken with or without meals.
