The effervescent tablets contain 1500 mg calcium carbonate, which corresponds to 600 mg calcium ions.It also contains 0.01 mg colecalciferol (vitamin D3), which corresponds to 400 international units (IE).The excipients included are alpha-tocopherol, citric acid (anhydrous), DL-malic acid, gelatin, magnesium stearate (vegetable), maltodextrin, sodium carbonate, sodium cyclamate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium corn starch octenyl succinate, saccharin sodium, sucrose, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, sodium ions (52.11 mg in total), lemon flavor and sorbitol.

Contraindications

The preparation must not be taken if you are allergic to calcium carbonate, colecalciferol (vitamin D3) or any of the other ingredients.The preparation should also not be used if there is an increased calcium content in the blood (hypercalcemia), increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalciuria), kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), calcium deposits in the kidneys (nephrocalcinosis), kidney failure, vitamin D overdose, immobilization of limbs (immobilization osteoporosis) or certain lung diseases (sarcoidosis, Boeck's disease).

Dosage

Adults take one effervescent tablet twice daily, which corresponds to 1200 mg calcium and 800 IE vitamin D3.The effervescent tablets are not suitable for children and young people.The duration of use is determined by the doctor.In the event of an overdose, you should stop taking it and consult a doctor immediately.Symptoms of an overdose may include loss of appetite, thirst, nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, muscle weakness, fatigue, mental disorders, increased thirst, increased urination, bone pain, calcium deposits in the kidneys, kidney stones and, in severe cases, cardiac arrhythmia.If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.If you stop taking the medication, please speak to your doctor first.

Intake

The effervescent tablet is dissolved in a glass of water and drunk immediately.It is recommended to take the preparation in the morning and evening.

Patient information

During long-term treatment, serum and urinary calcium levels should be monitored and renal function should be checked by measuring serum creatinine.This is particularly important in elderly patients and during simultaneous treatment with cardiac glycosides and diuretics.The drug should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment.Children and adolescents should not take the effervescent tablets.No effects on the ability to drive or use machines are expected.

Pregnancy
