Active ingredients and ingredients

The Kneipp hawthorn tablets contain various active ingredients and excipients.The active ingredients include 55 mg of hawthorn berry powder, 140 mg of hawthorn leaves with flower powder and 30 mg of hawthorn leaves with flowers dry extract, which is produced with ethanol 70% (V/V) as an extractant.

The excipients include Arabic gum, spray-dried, calcium carbonate, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, sodium bicarbonate, partial glycerides, long chain, sucrose, shellac, silicon dioxide, colloidal, talc, glucose solution and 0.1 BE total carbohydrates.

Application and dosage

The usual dosage for adults is 1 to 3 coated tablets three times daily.These should be taken one hour before or after meals with sufficient liquid.Kneipp hawthorn tablets are not suitable for children and young people under 18 years of age.

Each coated tablet contains 140 mg of hawthorn leaf with flower powder, 55 mg of hawthorn fruit powder and 30 mg dry extract of hawthorn leaf with flower.The other ingredients are highly disperse silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, sodium bicarbonate, maltodextrin, shellac, sucrose, spray-dried Arabic gum, glucose syrup, talc, calcium carbonate, macrogol 6000 and long-chain partial glycerides.

The tablets contain glucose and sucrose, which may be of interest to diabetics.
