Sidroga Blasentee Plus mit Bärentraubenblättern (Bladder Tea Plus with Bearberry Leaves) is a traditional herbal medicinal product for the relief of mild urinary tract complaints and to reduce the formation of urinary stones. It is used to flush the draining urinary tract. It is used in adults aged 18 years and over. Before use, it should be noted that the medicinal product must not be used in the case of allergy to birch pollen, goldenrod, orthosiphon, bearberry leaves, nettle leaves, peppermint and/or menthol, as well as in the case of kidney diseases and water retention (oedema) due to impaired cardiac activity. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also not use the medicine. The recommended dose is 1 cup of tea à 1 filter bag 3-4 times a day. The tea is poured over boiling water and left to brew for 5-10 minutes. It should not be used for more than 3 days without medical advice and should be taken for a maximum of 7 days in total and no more than 5 times a year. Possible side effects are gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea and vomiting as well as allergic reactions such as itching, skin rash and hives. Overdose is not known to occur. The medicinal product should not be used for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. There are insufficient data on its use in this age group. The composition of the medicinal product includes bearberry leaves, orthosiphon leaves, birch leaves and giant goldenrod herb as active ingredients.
