Information for use on the article Aurica Nettle Tea: - Indications: For flushing the draining urinary tract and for the prevention and treatment of kidney gravel; for the supportive treatment of rheumatic complaints. - Indications: In case of blood in the urine, fever or persistent complaints for more than 7 days, a doctor should be consulted. In case of acute rheumatic complaints with redness, swelling or overheating of the joints as well as persistent complaints, a doctor should also be consulted. - Contraindications: Nettle leaves should not be consumed by pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 12 years of age. Flushing therapy is not indicated in cases of oedema due to impaired heart or kidney activity. - Interactions: None known. - Dosage instructions and method of use: Drink a cup of tea infusion 3 to 4 times a day. Pour boiling water over 4 teaspoons of Nettle Tea N and pass through a tea strainer after 10-15 minutes if necessary. - Duration of use: See above. - Side effects: None known. - Important information: Caution in case of allergy to ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Aurica Nettle Tea is traditionally taken to flush the urinary tract and to prevent and treat kidney stones. It also supports the treatment of rheumatic complaints. The tea increases the amount of urine and flushes out the kidneys and urinary tract, eliminating germs and bacteria. It can relieve or prevent urinary complaints due to cystitis, kidney gravel or urinary stones. Nettle leaves are also effective against muscle aches and joint pain in rheumatism or gout. The recommended dosage is one cup of tea infusion 3-4 times a day. Children under 12 years, pregnant or breastfeeding women should not consume the tea. The tea is not indicated for oedema due to impaired heart or kidney activity. So far, no side effects are known.
