Information for use with the product Tetesept Sodbrennen Akut Kautabletten: - Product characteristics: Tetesept Heartburn Acute Chewable Tablets act quickly and effectively against heartburn and acid-related stomach complaints. They contain magnesium oxide and calcium carbonate, which bind and neutralise excess acid in the stomach. The chewable tablets are sugar-free and well tolerated. They can be taken at the first sign of discomfort. - Application: Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age take 1-2 chewable tablets as a single dose as needed. Up to 1-2 chewable tablets can be taken 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 8 chewable tablets. The chewable tablet should be taken one hour after meals, but can also be taken before going to bed or in between meals. It can be sucked or chewed. - Instructions: It should not be taken for longer than 30 days. Do not use in children and adolescents under 12 years of age. Store in a dry place and not above 25°C. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the product can be taken according to the recommended dosage. One chewable tablet contains 0.84 mg sorbitol, corresponding to approx. 0.07 bread units (BE). - Composition: 1 chewable tablet contains 500 mg calcium carbonate, 250 mg magnesium oxide. Other ingredients are sorbitol, maize starch, peppermint oil and magnesium stearate. - Contraindications: The product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients. - Mode of action: The highly dosed active ingredients magnesium oxide and calcium carbonate bind and neutralise the excess acid in the stomach.
