Thealoz Duo eye gel combines a dual formula of protective trehalose and regenerating hyaluronic acid with carbomer for a particularly long stay on the eye.While trehalose stabilizes the tear film and protects against corneal damage caused by dryness, hyaluronic acid moisturizes and regenerates the surface of the eye.The carbomer contributes to a long-lasting depot effect.The unpreserved, hypotonic and phosphate-free liquid gel is particularly suitable for severe forms of dry eyes and is also an ideal addition to the night. Thealoz Duo eye gel is pleasant on the eyes and does not cause streaking or sticking.Contact lenses should be removed before use and only reinserted after 30 minutes.

Area of application

Thealoz Duo eye gel is particularly suitable for very dry, sore eyes and as a nighttime supplement.It is recommended for the treatment of moderate to severe dry eye symptoms such as discomfort, stinging or burning caused by external influences such as wind, smoke, air pollution, dust, strong sunlight, heat, cold, air conditioning and air travel or long periods of computer work.

Mode of action

Thealoz Duo eye gel combines the dual formula of cell-protecting trehalose 3% and healing-promoting hyaluronic acid 0.15% additionally with carbomer 0.25% in a hypotonic formulation.The hyaluronic acid moisturizes the surface of the eye, improves the tear film and helps with the regeneration and wound healing of the cornea.Trehalose protects the cornea and conjunctiva from damage caused by dryness by the natural sugar forming a kind of protective film on the cell surface.Trehalose also has a high water-binding capacity and is therefore a suitable ingredient for a tear substitute.The carbomer is mucoadhesive, meaning it sticks to the mucous layer of the tear film, thereby extending the retention time and contributing to a depot effect.

Application

1 Drop in each eye, 1 - 4 times daily.Gel formulations are particularly suitable for use in the evening, just before going to bed.

Handling

Please wash your hands thoroughly before use.Avoid any contact with the drip opening with your fingers or eyes.Separate a single-dose container from the strip.Hold it by the label side and turn the container upside down.If the liquid is not already in the bottom (neck) of the container, tap it downwards with your hand a few times.Twist off the cap.Pull your eyelid down with one hand and look up.With your other hand, hold the single-dose container vertically over your eye.Squeeze the container and place 1 drop into the conjunctival sac.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the above ingredients, this product should not be used.

Notes

Since it is a gel, Thealoz Duo eye gel is particularly suitable for use in the evening, shortly before going to bed.Store the product between 8°C and 30°C, do not expose to direct sunlight or moisture.Unopened single-dose containers can be used within 1 month of opening the sachet.
