The mosquito® med lice shampoo 10 is a leading product for combating head lice.It is characterized by a short exposure time of just 10 minutes and is particularly easy to use.The shampoo is applied directly to dry hair and then rinsed out with water.No prescription is required for this product.

Area of application

Head lice can occur all year round, especially after school and kindergarten holidays.If lice are found, all affected people and contact persons should undergo a check and preventative treatment.The mosquito® med lice shampoo 10 is ideal for combating lice and nits.It is suitable for children aged one year and over.

Mode of action

The mosquito® med lice shampoo 10 contains physically active ingredients, including white oil.When used, the head lice are coated with a fine oil film in all stages of development.This causes the breathing openings to become clogged and the lice suffocate.In addition, the wax layer of the lice is dissolved so that they dry out.Due to this composition, the shampoo can be used regularly over longer periods of time without any concerns.

The ingredients of mosquito® med Lice Shampoo 10 are mineral oil, MIPA-Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Laureth 4 and perfume.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage and application

The shampoo is applied to dry hair and left on for 10 minutes.It is then foamed with a little water and rinsed thoroughly with plenty of water.The application takes place in three steps:

Step 1: Distribute the shampoo on dry hair.Make sure all hair and scalp are completely covered, especially the areas behind the ears, the back of the neck and the temples.Leave the shampoo on for 10 minutes without covering it.

Step 2: Apply a small amount of water to your hair and lather the shampoo.Then rinse the foam out with lukewarm water.Be careful not to leave any shampoo behind.A conditioner can improve the combability of the hair.

Step 3: Comb the hair with a lice comb.Start directly at the scalp and comb out the hair in strands.Clean the comb from lice and nits after each combing.The hair should be damp while combing out.

Repeat the application after 7 to 10 days.

Further measures

All family members should be carefully examined for nits and lice and treated if necessary.Towels, hats, pillowcases and other linen that have been in contact with the head should be washed at a minimum of 60°C.Items that cannot be washed can be treated with a special spray and then vacuumed.Inform kindergartens, schools and all contact persons to prevent the lice from spreading further.

Patient information

Keep the medicine out of the reach of children.It is intended for external use only.Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.If you accidentally come into contact with your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water immediately.In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.People with treated hair should not be near open flames.Do not use the medicine if you are known to be hypersensitive or allergic to mineral oils.Clean up any spilled shampoo immediately as it can become very slippery.

Pregnancy

Due to a lack of experience, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

Notes

The mosquito® med lice shampoo 10 is not suitable for children under 12 months.Keep the product out of the reach of children.Always read the instructions for use.
