Instructions for use of the article "Lefax intens Lemon Fresh Micro Granules": Lefax intens Lemon Fresh Micro Granules is a medicinal product containing simeticon. Simeticon has a defoaming and antifoaming effect. The granules are used for the relief and symptomatic treatment of gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence, bloating, crampy abdominal pain, upper abdominal pain, belching and in functional dyspepsia. It is also used in preparation for abdominal diagnostics such as endoscopy, X-ray and sonography. The dosage and duration of use depends on the symptoms and age. For adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over, the single dose is 1 sachet (equivalent to 250 mg simeticon) for gas-related gastrointestinal symptoms and 1-2 sachets (equivalent to 250 mg to 500 mg simeticon) the day before the examination in preparation for imaging tests. The granules are taken with or after meals. It is placed directly on the tongue, dissolves in saliva and can then be swallowed. It is intended for short-term use and should not be taken for longer than 30 days. Larger amounts of the granules are tolerated without any problems, as the active ingredient acts physically and is completely biologically and chemically inactive. If the intake is forgotten, the treatment should be continued without changing the dosage. Premature discontinuation may cause a recurrence of symptoms. The product should be kept out of reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. Each sachet contains 250 mg of simeticon and contains no colouring or flavouring.
