Summary: Horsetail herb tea is used internally and externally. Internally, it is used for existing oedemas and those occurring after injuries, for flushing the draining urinary tract and for kidney gravel. Externally, it is used to support the treatment of poorly healing wounds. The recommended dosage is 2 teaspoons full of the tea infusion 3 times a day. It is important to drink plenty of fluids. The duration of use should not exceed one week. There are no known side effects. Persons with hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid should exercise caution.
