Soventol hydrocortisone acetate 0.5% cream is a medicine for the treatment of moderately severe red, inflammatory or allergic skin conditions for which weakly acting, low-concentration corticosteroids are indicated. It contains the active substance hydrocortisone acetate (Ph. Eur.), which has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and anti-allergic effects. The cream can be used for irritated summer skin such as sunburn, sun allergy, Mallorca acne, inflamed insect bites and severe itching. The innovative cremogel formulation cools like a gel and cares like a cream. It is quickly absorbed into the skin and is well tolerated. Soventol Hydrocortisone Acetate 0.5% Cream can be used in adults and children aged 6 years and over, and in younger children as prescribed by a doctor. Before use, the package leaflet should be read or a doctor or pharmacist consulted, as there are contraindications and possible side effects. The cream should not be used for more than 2 weeks and should not be applied to a body surface area greater than 1/10 unless directed by a doctor. It should be stored away from heat and frost.
