Soventol® Hydrocortisone Acetate 0.25% Cremogel has a particularly quick and effective anti-inflammatory effect on acute skin irritations such as eczema, contact allergies, inflamed bites or painful sunburn.It immediately relieves itching, has an effective anti-inflammatory effect and has a particularly rapid effect against swelling and redness.

Soventol HydroCortisone ACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation cares like a cream and cools like a gel.Inflammatory and allergic skin problems are quickly alleviated.The cooling effect is particularly pleasant in summer, but also if you tend to have oily skin, especially on the face.

Soventol HydroCortisone ACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation is used to treat skin diseases such as inflammatory, allergic or itchy dermatoses (skin inflammation, eczema).The active ingredient hydrocortisone (acetate) has proven to be effective for sunburn, insect bites, itchy skin, sun allergy, neurodermatitis, itching, eczema and against skin reactions caused by the oak processionary moth caterpillar.

Mode of action

Soventol HydroCortisoneACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation contains a synthetically produced glucocorticoid for use on the skin.Hydrocortisone is a natural adrenal hormone with anti-inflammatory effects.This intervenes in the inflammatory process at several points and not only allows allergy symptoms to subside more quickly, but also ensures that swelling and redness in the skin resolves quickly thanks to its vasoconstrictor effect.

Since hydrocortisone is one of the weakly effective corticoids and has a low dosage of 0.25%, Soventol HydroCortisone ACETATE 0.25% is well tolerated for skin inflammation when used correctly.

Soventol HydroCortisoneACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation contains the following active ingredient: 2.5 mg hydrocortisone acetate.

Other ingredients are: ammonium hydroxide for pH adjustment, carbomer 1382, disodium edetat-2 water, decyl oleate, water, purified, isopropyl myristate, macrogol 400, paraffin, thick, perfume oil, isopropanol.

Contraindications

Soventol HydroCortisoneACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation should not be used if you are hypersensitive to hydrocortisone or any of the other ingredients it contains.You should also refrain from using this product if you have certain skin diseases (e.g. syphilis, tuberculosis) and viral or fungal infections.Vaccination reactions can also occur.

Dosage

Recommended use of Soventol HydroCortisone ACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation: Soventol HydroCortisone ACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation is applied thinly to the affected skin area 2 - 3 times a day.After use, you should clean your hands thoroughly and avoid accidental contact with mucous membranes, eyes and open skin areas.

The duration of treatment should not exceed three weeks in children and 4 weeks in general. Before long-term use, medical advice should be sought.The product should also not be applied to large areas of the skin.

Soventol HydroCortisoneACETATE 0.25% for skin inflammation can be used in children aged 6 and over and adults.

The preparation must not be used in or on the eye.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy: The medicine should not be used extensively during pregnancy, especially in the first 3 months.

Breastfeeding: Breastfeeding mothers should not apply the medicine to the breast area.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

Notes

After opening, Soventol® Hydrocortisone Acetate 0.25% Cremogel has a shelf life of 12 months.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
