The vein tablets are a herbal medicine used to treat leg vein disease, also known as chronic venous insufficiency, in adults.These diseases manifest themselves as swollen legs, varicose veins, leg heaviness, pain, fatigue, itching, a feeling of tension and leg cramps.The product is available without a prescription.

Against swelling, pain and a feeling of heaviness in the legs: Around 90 percent of all people in Germany suffer from mild to severe changes in the veins.Half of 18 to 19 year olds already have spider veins or varicose veins.The frequency and severity of the disease increase with advancing age.Those affected usually experience symptoms of tired and heavy legs.If your legs and ankles also swell, this is a clear sign of blood congestion in the venous system.

ANTIVENO Heumann vein tablets contain a highly concentrated extract of red grape leaves.Red vine leaves were already known as a remedy in ancient times; today the ingredients are increasingly used in vein therapy.Studies prove the effectiveness of red vine leaves: the flavonoids they contain seal the veins from the inside.This means less fluid penetrates the surrounding tissue and swelling is reduced.At the same time, the pain and feeling of tension in the legs decrease.Strengthened blood circulation in the vessels also improves the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the veins.

1 Film-coated tablet of ANTIVENO Heumann vein tablets consists of: 360 mg dry extract from red grape leaves (Vitis vinifera L., folium) (4 - 6: 1).Extractant: water.Other ingredients: maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, cellulose powder, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.) [pflanzlich], crospovidone type A, hypromellose, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron (III) oxide red (E 172), macrogol 6000.

Contraindications

The vein tablets must not be used if you are allergic to dry extract of red vine leaves or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.The medicine must not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding as its safety has not been proven.

Dosage

Recommended use of ANTIVENO Heumann vein tablets: Unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 1 - 2 film-coated tablets daily without chewing with water before breakfast.The recommended duration of use is 12 weeks.Positive effects of the ingredient may only become apparent after a treatment period of 2 to 3 weeks.

Intake

Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 - 2 film-coated tablets should be taken whole with water before breakfast.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the medicine.If inflammation of the skin occurs, inflammation of the veins with blood clots forming (thrombophlebitis) or hardening under the skin, severe pain, ulcers, sudden swelling of one or both legs, heart or kidney failure, contact your doctor immediately.

Other non-invasive measures ordered by the doctor, such as:E.g. leg wraps, wearing compression stockings or cold water showers must be strictly followed.If symptoms persist for longer than 2 weeks or if they arise again, a doctor should be consulted to clarify other causes.

No studies have been conducted on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines.
