Area of application
This medicine is used to loosen mucus in respiratory diseases that are accompanied by thick mucus.It is used to treat acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs in which thick mucus is present.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The main active ingredient of this drug is ambroxol hydrochloride, with a concentration of 30 mg per 5 ml. In addition, it contains ambroxol in an amount of 27.36 mg.Excipients include citric acid 1-water, glycerol 85%, hyetellose, sodium cyclamate, sodium hydroxide solution 32%, sorbitol 70%, purified water, benzoic acid, raspberry flavor and propylene glycol.The exact amount of excipients varies, with sorbitol 70% contained in an amount of 1767.5 mg.
Contraindications
This medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive or allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.
Dosage
Always take this medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose varies depending on the age group:
Children up to 2 years of age should only take the solution as directed by a doctor, with a dose of 1.25 ml twice a day. Children from 2 to 5 years of age take 1.25 ml 3 times a day.Children from 6 to 12 years take 2.5 ml 2 to 3 times a day. Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age take 5 ml 3 times a day for the first 2 to 3 days, then 5 ml twice a day. If necessary, the dose for adults and adolescents can be increased to 10 ml twice a day.
If your condition worsens or does not improve after 4 to 5 days, you should consult a doctor.In the event of an overdose, you should contact a doctor as treatment of the symptoms of the disease may be necessary.If you forget to take a dose, continue taking it at the next time as described.Stopping treatment early may cause symptoms to worsen.
Intake
The medicine is an oral solution.It can be taken with or without meals using the included dosage aid.
Patient information
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.There have been reports of serious skin reactions associated with the use of ambroxol hydrochloride.If you develop a skin rash, stop use and seek medical advice.Patients with impaired kidney or liver function should only take the medicine on medical advice.The medicine may only be used in children under 2 years of age on the advice of a doctor.There is no evidence of impairment of the ability to drive or use machines.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Ambroxol reaches the unborn child and there is no evidence of harmful effects after 28 weeks of pregnancy.However, the medicine should not be taken during pregnancy, especially in the first 3 months.The active ingredient ambroxol passes into breast milk, so use during breastfeeding is not recommended.
