DracoFoam Infekt haft is a polyhexanide-containing foam wound dressing with an adhesive edge that was specially developed for silver-free infection control in chronic and acute wounds with intact surrounding skin.The self-adhesive edge ensures a secure hold of the wound dressing, which is ideal for combating wound infections thanks to its powerful exudate absorption and evaporation rate.The wound antiseptic polyhexanide (PHMB), which works in the polyurethane foam, fights germs effectively. PHMB is characterized by no absorption, no development of resistance and particularly good tissue compatibility, which makes DracoFoam Infection a patient-friendly wound dressing.

The wound dressing can be used on critically colonized or infected wounds as well as on moderately to heavily exuding wounds in the exudation and granulation phase.It is also suitable for superficial chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, arteriosum and venosum, pressure sores with intact surrounding skin, diabetic foot ulcers, burns up to 2nd degree, post-operative wounds, abrasions, split-thickness skin removal and skin donor areas.DracoFoam Infection Adhesive is also suitable for compression therapy.
