Summary: Reparil-Gel N Madaus is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory gel used for the external treatment of mild pain after acute blunt injuries such as bruises and sprains. The gel contains the active ingredient aescin, which has a decongestant effect and combats inflammatory processes. It can also be used for varicose veins, superficial phlebitis as well as sprains and bruises. The dosage for adolescents from 12 years of age and adults is a cherry- to walnut-sized amount three to four times a day, to be rubbed lightly into the affected areas. Reparil Gel N Madaus is quickly absorbed, is not greasy and is cooling. It should not be applied to open injuries or under airtight dressings. Side effects are rare and may include skin reactions such as dryness, rashes or itching. The gel should not be used if you are allergic to the ingredients or have open injuries, skin inflammation or skin infections. It is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Read the package leaflet before use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if you have any further questions. It can be stored for a maximum of 6 months after opening. Reparil-Gel N Madaus is available in pharmacies and the duration of use should be determined in consultation with a doctor.
