Reparil Gel N Madaus is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory gel used for the external, short-term symptomatic treatment of mild pain after acute blunt injuries such as bruises and sprains. The gel contains the active ingredient aescin, which is extracted from the horse chestnut and prevents water retention in the tissues, which can reduce swelling. In addition, the gel contains a salicylic acid compound that enhances the anti-inflammatory effect. Reparil Gel N Madaus can also be used for varicose veins, superficial phlebitis, sprains and bruises. The gel is manufactured by MEDA Pharma GmbH & Co.KG and is suitable for use in children aged 12 and over and adults. It should not be applied to open injuries or under airtight dressings. Hands should be washed thoroughly with soap before use to remove any residue on the skin. The gel should not be used for more than two days without medical advice and is not suitable for use in children under 12 years of age.
