Instructions for use for DOC IBUPROFEN Pain gel 5%, 150 g
Doc Ibuprofen Schmerzgel contains the active ingredient ibuprofen and is used for the sole or supportive external treatment of swellings and inflammations of the soft tissues near the joints. It is also suitable for the treatment of sports and accident injuries such as bruises, sprains and strains. The pain gel has an anti-inflammatory effect and relieves pain in a targeted manner. It is manufactured by the company HERMES Arzneimittel GmbH and is well tolerated. The gel is applied directly to the affected areas and massaged. It should not be applied to open injuries or under airtight dressings. The recommended duration of use is 2-3 weeks. If there is no improvement, a doctor should be consulted. The pain gel can be used from the age of 14. Other products for pain treatment are the Doc Arnica cream and the Doc Therma heat poultice. There are some side effects such as reddening of the skin, itching, burning of the skin, rash and drying of the skin. The gel should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients and open injuries or inflammations of the skin. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. The gel should be stored away from heat and used for a maximum of 12 months after opening. In addition to ibuprofen, the gel contains various excipients such as dimethyl isosorbide, isopropanol, poloxamer, triglycerides, medium-chain, water, purified, bitter orange blossom oil, lavender oil, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, D-limonene and linalool. The pain gel works by inhibiting the messenger substance prostaglandin, which is responsible for pain sensation, inflammatory reactions and fever. It should be used cautiously if the patient suffers from nasal polyps, chronic respiratory infections, asthma or a tendency to allergic reactions such as hay fever. The gel should not be used if the patient is allergic to painkillers. Doc Ibuprofen Pain Gel is available without a prescription and can be purchased in household quantities.Medicines Reviews

Targeted application. The gel can be applied specifically to the inflamed area. I noticed an effect (cooling, reducing swelling) after some time and also a reduction in pain. I find the use of gel better than taking a tablet, as my stomach does not tolerate this so well. I will buy it again.
