Area of application

Doc Therma Heat Pad Neck is a medical product that is used to temporarily relieve muscle and joint pain in the neck and shoulder area.It is particularly effective for tension and pain in these areas.No prescription is required for this product.

Mode of action

The heat pad heats up automatically through contact with oxygen.It reaches its maximum temperature within around 30 minutes and can then be worn for up to 12 hours to achieve optimal effect.The even heat release relieves neck pain, relaxes the muscles and has a positive effect on joint pain.

The Doc Therma heat pad contains the following ingredients: iron oxide, activated carbon, water, vermiculite, sodium chloride and superabsorbents.This mixture reacts with oxygen and produces heat.The inside of the pad is coated with an air-permeable film, while the outside has a hot-melt adhesive that allows it to be attached during use.

Contraindications

Doc Therma heat pad must not be used on children up to the age of 12, during sleep, with poor circulation or heart disease, with diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis, during pregnancy, on diseased, damaged or sensitive skin, on parts of the body where heat is not noticeable, in conjunction with creams, lotions or ointments containing medication, when using other heat therapies, on bedridden people and patients with a tendency to skin ulcers,in people who cannot apply or remove the pad independently, for bruising or swelling that has occurred within the last 48 hours, and if the doctor advises against its use due to their health.

Dosage

To use, first open the plastic packaging and carefully peel off the paper from the adhesive side of the heat pad.Place the pad with the adhesive side on the painful area in the neck or shoulder area and press it firmly.The heat pad can be worn for up to 12 hours to achieve an optimal effect.

Patient information

The heat pad is intended for one-time use only and is only intended for external use in the neck and shoulder area.It must not be heated in the microwave and should be kept out of the reach of children.If the cover is damaged or torn, it must not be used.Check skin for signs of burns or blisters and discontinue use if unusual skin irritation occurs.Discontinue use and consult a doctor if pain worsens or remains unchanged after 7 days of use.If you have sensitive or mature skin, put on a thin piece of clothing underneath the heat pad.

Notes

The ingredients may be harmful if swallowed or in direct contact with the skin or eyes.In such cases, medical advice should be sought immediately.The heat pad is intended for single use and external application.It is normal for the skin to be slightly red after removing the pad.If the skin is still red after a few hours, do not use a new heat pad until the redness has completely subsided.Stop using if the heat pad feels too hot or uncomfortable.

Storage

Store out of the reach of children and pets in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight.Do not use after the stated expiry date.Dispose of in normal household waste.The heat pads must not be burned.
