Area of application

Doc Therma heat pad for the neck is a medical product for the temporary relief of muscle and joint pain in the neck and shoulder area.It is intended for external use and is suitable for treating neck pain, tension and joint pain.The main component of the heat pad is iron oxide, which comes into contact with the oxygen in the air when the pack is opened and triggers a reaction that produces heat.Other ingredients include activated carbon, vermiculite, sodium chloride, water and superabsorbents.

Mode of action

The heat pad heats itself up when it comes into contact with oxygen and reaches its maximum temperature within about 30 minutes.The heating effect lasts up to 12 hours, ensuring stable and even heat release.The inside of the heat pad is coated with an air-permeable film that regulates how quickly oxygen can penetrate into the fleece bag.The outside is coated with a hot melt adhesive that ensures the pads are adhered during use.

Contraindications

Doc Therma Heat Pad must not be used on children up to the age of 12, during sleep, if you have poor circulation or heart disease, if you have diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis, if you are pregnant, on diseased, damaged, injured or sensitive skin, on parts of the body where heat is not noticeable, in conjunction with creams, lotions or ointments containing medication, when using other heat therapies, including electrical heat sources, on people who are bedriddenand patients with a tendency to develop skin ulcers, those who are unable to apply or remove the heat pad independently, any bruising or swelling that has occurred within the last 48 hours, and if your doctor advises against its use due to your medical condition.

Dosage

First, open the plastic packaging.Carefully peel off the paper from the adhesive side of the heat patch.Place the heat pad on the skin with the adhesive side on the area intended for use.Press the heat pad well.You can wear the heat pad for 12 hours to achieve optimal effectiveness.

Patient information

Heat products can cause burns!Check the skin for signs of burns or blisters.Discontinue use if you notice any unusual skin irritation.Stop use and contact a doctor if pain worsens or remains unchanged after 7 days of use, as this could be an indication of a medical condition.The risk of skin burns increases with age.If you have sensitive or mature skin, put on a thin piece of clothing underneath the heat pad.

Storage

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.Do not use after the stated expiry date.Dispose of in normal household waste.The heat pads must not be burned.
